I suppose it's easy to forget when the times between battles are almost... idyllic. Certainly it's not much like any other war I've ever been in.

[He manages to sound faintly amused.]

I arrived right on the tail of the last- when we were all iced into the castle. So it was difficult to imagine what people were making so much fuss about. I'd never really seen it.

You lot were lucky to arrive then--that was a rather nasty battle. And if they use ice again, do be careful; my hands took days to heal from the frostbite, defying all attempts to accelerate their healing.

My powers have to do with ice- though they aren't very well developed yet. I wonder how susceptible that makes me?

I'm not certain; it may make you a tad more resistant, but I wouldn't rely on it. The enemy has powers of its own that rival the powers of the Gods we're attached to; best not to try taking them on, magically speaking, in my opinion. Physical attacks combined with the powers we were given seem to be much more effective.

I wonder if it would be worthwhile to set up some sort of training group with regards to that? Power and self-defense incorporation?

I should think that's rather a good idea. It's... not something that will help everyone learn how to use their new skills, but it should help most of the people here.

[He's not about to let people hurt him just so he can practice healing himself.]

Maybe when the city has put itself back together a little bit. I think we're all a little raw for that right at this particular moment.
